EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Tumaini Poultry Production aims to extend its production of broilers by seeking  a one year loan of  tsh.5000,000/= from a local bank with a vision of becoming the most hygienic Poultry producer along Bagamoyo road the place full of tourists attractions and 5 stars hotels.

The owner Mr. Tumaini Masanja  started  the company 2 years ago at Kiromo Bagamoyo area with an initial number of 1000 day old chicks in a cycle of of 44 days. Due to the rapid growth of our target market we experience a shortage of working capital to sustain the growing number of customers. So the bank loan we are seeking for will be allocated on buying additional 1000 day old chicks, feeds and feeders.

We focus mainly three groups of customers namely, Hotel & Restaurants, Supermarkets, and Slaughter houses. The need of Poultry meat in Tanzania is currently high due to the Government ban on importation of poultry products from outside the country

Production will take place in cycles and the number of cycles per year is 8 taking into account the production period of 32 days and 12 days of disinfecting the chickens’ shed before the new cycle starts. The project will be managed by Tumaini and other two employees who will be paid tsh. 100,000/ = in each cycle. Total requirements are tsh. 12millions with yearly sales of tsh.101.4millions and net profit of tsh. 8.2millions. Hence the project is profitable and the loan can be repaid with ease in a period of one year.
